SAHEL AVIATION

Operating primarily out of Bamako Airport, Mali, Sahel Aviation Services (SAS) is on call 24/7 for any kind of request possible, from private charters to medical evacuations. To store and maintain small airplanes and/or helicopters, SAS desired an hangar in which these could be safely stored. In addition, the hangar had to meet the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane class 3 scale (read: withstand wind velocity up to 208 km/h).

The height of 9 m allows the use of a hoist at different locations in the hangar. This way facilitating lifting the engine out of a helicopter or airplane for maintenance. To ensure a fast and smooth assembly, a Frisomat supervisor oversaw the build-up – all to the satisfaction of SAS. Planning to install another hangar in Niger, SAS is eager to work with Frisomat on this new project.
