MEGA-DOOR IN SIDE WALL OF 1,650 M² AVIATION BUILDING
Caverton, founded in Nigeria in 2008, has but one objective: to become the market leader in maritime and air transport logistics. In order to be able to optimally respond to the needs of the sub-Saharan oil and gas industry, it invested in a 1,650 m² prefab steel aviation building on the Port Harcourt Airport (NAF Base).
Caverton‘s needs were so specific that Frisomat had to design a hall that was unprecedented in the company’s history. To provide the required manoeuvring space, a customised solution was developed. The result is a mega-door in the side wall – Frisomat’s latest innovation.
The mega-door is 22m wide and 6.5m high. Its dimensions are such that it could not possibly be installed in the front wall, as is traditionally the case. A challenge which Frisomat converted into a stunning piece of engineering. With helicopters moving in and out at lightning speed, Caverton now has the desired flexibility. And that is what we aim for.
