The legendary Congo River is not only sub-Saharan Africa’s longest river, but also the inlands major shipping gateway. It allows the transport of copper, palm oil, sugar and coffee towards the road transport companies. Also for Sotraco the river is a major source of income.
Sotraco is situated in the municipality Limete, in the Mont Amba district of Congo-Kinshasa. It specialises in road transport and logistical storage.
Sotraco needed a 2,000 m² warehouse in Matadi to accommodate a part of its operations. Frisomat delivered the complete building up to its final destination, the port of Matadi. The steel hall was subsequently assembled by a local team in only 8 weeks.
